Project realization for training and leak detection in the water utility Podgradec, Albania
In the course of April 2015, Aquasave Ltd. was engaged on the project "Consultation services in the area of leak detection" as a part of the project "Consultation services in the area of environment protection of the Ohrid lake", Phase 3 from the German financial cooperation with Albania by the AHT Group AG and DAHLEM Ingenieure. The end user of services was the communal enterprise in Podgradec, Albania (UK Podgradec).
The project included theoretical and practical training of the technical staff in the enterprise, using their equipment purchased for flow and pressure monitoring, pipe tracing, detecting buried covers of manholes, pre-location with contact microphone, a geophone and a correlator, noise loggers, ultrasonic flow measurement.
Additionally, Aquasave Ltd. has prepared and implemented a detailed programme for monitoring and prioritization of areas with increased water loss and activities for accurate leak detection in the supply network.
